About Us & Our Story

We are a young couple, with a dog and no kids, that decided to sell up, buy a van, hit the road and travel around Australia. In 2016 we made our decision. Life is short, we'd worked hard to get to where we were and now it was time for a change. Time for something more exciting, time to see the land we live on, to explore, to work less, to live more, to have less materials and to enjoy the simple life.

We travel in a 4WD with an off road van. We free camp as much as we can and stick to a tight budget while on the road. Our mission is to enjoy as much of this country as we possibly can for as long as we possibly can.

At first we was just a thought, something we didn't know anything about, we didn't even own a caravan or our new 4WD until 2 weeks before we left!! We've learnt that anything you want in life can be achieved if you plan well, be persistent and persevere. 

​

Here we're going to share with you all our secrets. We believe more people, particularly the young ones who aren't yet nomads, should be out here enjoying what this incredible country has to offer. We are going to show you how it's done. From how we plan and budget to the maintenance and dramas we have along the way. We're going to share some of our favourite places, free camps, what gear we use, our favourite fishing spots & activities.
